Victoria Park Garden

Family garden in Victoria Park, East London, E9

Located on Southborough Road in the heart of Lauriston Village, Victoria Park, the garden was designed for a young family who wanted plenty of space for their children to play, but also for the garden to be a tantalising view from their kitchen and dining room. The front garden includes a new Victorian mosaic pathway to the front door with Yorkstone paving while the rear garden is defined by raised beds, and plank laid Yorkstone paving which tapers off towards the back of the garden giving the illusion of a pathway through to another space. Slatted trellis fencing bounds the rear garden on three sides, offering privacy and opportunities for climbing plants to grow.

Climbing roses are a major feature of the planting design, in particular Rosa ‘Iceberg’ which wraps it way through the gaps of the trellis. The front garden planting focuses on a multi-stem Prunus ‘Kanzan’ and includes wild strawberries and delicate creeping Viola cornuta.
