This rear garden of a Victorian house was designed with the principle aim of creating a beautiful view from a new extension designed by Sher + White architects but with the added complication of needing to be a family friendly garden with lots of opportunity for play, outside dining and cooking. The design incorporates a sunken trampoline, a shed, climbing fort, and hidden sandpit and has a large patio area decked with composite timber.

Highlights of the planting are dwarf smoke bushes, ornamental grasses, geranium, japanese anemones and a specimen Cercis canadenis ‘Forest Pansy’. Furniture styling combines a dining table and chairs by Fermob with refurbished vintage Antelope chairs designed by Ernest Race.
