Garden Design for a Victorian Villa with new rear extension in E9

Located on the north side of Cassland Road, at the east end of Cassland Crescent in Hackney, East London, the garden of this early Victorian villa is dominated by a mature Walnut Tree towards the rear. The focus of the garden design was to create a new landscape to be viewed from the glass extension of the house. To achieve this, a diminishing yorkstone path cuts through planting that nods to Japanese garden design, with the inclusion of square cut Azalea, Camellias and Japanese Maples, but is still very English in spirit. This pathway creates depth and inspires movement through the garden.
